My passion for music has led me to a career as a Video Editor, Audio Engineer, and IT Troubleshooter.

It was a passion for music that landed me a job working at RPM Recording Studios in NYC. I learned the art of recording by watching the best engineers in the business record major label artists that ranged from the Beastie Boys to Tito Puente. I had a front row seat for the recording process watching many of my musical heros record their music.

While working at the recording studio, I developed enough skills to record an entire album on my first PC with windows 98, and a 1.6 gigabyte hard drive. I recorded an entire album on that PC using zip disks. I eventually upgraded to a gigantic 6 gigabyte drive. I became an expert at troubleshooting and fixing PC’s while making recordings that would ultimately land me a recording contract. The production deal that I signed with Artemis Records kept me very busy at night rehearsing and recording, so I moved on from my job at the RPM Studios.

My next day job was at an emerging technology company, Summit Partners. It was here that I was introduced to data bases, office programs, and gained valuable corporate experience.

After completing the production deal, I had the opportunity to diversify my work experience and secure a more long term professional track for my future. I took a full time position as Day Habilitation Specialist working with developmentally disabled adults. This job was some of the hardest and most rewarding work I have ever done. The position honed many valuable skills for me, such as, teaching and group speaking, working under stressful conditions that require great patience, and providing documentation that holds up under a State or Federal audit. I worked that job for over three years, came to know many wonderful dedicated people. I would not trade the experience for anything.

As rewarding as my job as a DHS was, I never abandoned my interests in music, performance or natural technical and creative abilities. All this time I was still recording music and repairing computers. As many large recording studios shut their doors permanently, unable to compete with cheap digital home recording, I made the decision to switch to video. The progression from audio to video was natural, and I picked it up quickly. The programs are similar, and they both require a sense of rhythm and attention to detail. I also began using other operating systems such as Mac and Linux, and all available video editing software including Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Avid.

In 2006, I took a leap of faith and left my job as a DHS. I landed my first full-time technical position as a video editor and all around technical manager for a start up web company that broadcast breaking financial information from Wall Street to France. I enjoyed the fast pace and immediacy of breaking news. I honed my skills as a camera operator and editor.

In 2007, I was offered a great opportunity to combine all my talents working for a small company specializing in Fashion Videos. I became responsible for a wide array of duties including, editing, filming, and composing soundtracks for Fashion videos. I was Also in charge of digitizing and organizing the company’s vast archive of footage from the 1950′s to present. Currently, I am setting up a system to digitally deliver videos directly to clients, and have facilitated the companies first foray into digital signage.

As my position becomes increasingly technical, I have decided to redirect my efforts in an IT direction.
